Beloved in Hollywood for her contagious smile, comedic genius, and lovely demeanor, Anna Faris has made a lasting impression on the world of television and movies. That's what the celebrity biographies and tabloids on the internet claim, at least. For my part, I only know Anna Faris from the Scary Movie series, and I believe I can speak for millions of others in that regard as well. The majority of the world is familiar with Anna from the Scary Movie parody series of movies. She portrayed Cindy in those films, a little girl who was constantly involved in a string of frightening incidents that are parodies of some of the greatest horror movies ever produced.

In the first Scary Movie film, which is mostly a spoof of Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and a few other horror classics, Cindy and her pals are saddened by a masked murderer who turns out to be a mentally retarded boy who is the younger brother of one of Cindy's friends (spoiler alert, also spoiler warnings ahead for all of the subsequent Scary Movies). Cindy and her pals are asked to stay in a mansion for a few days in the second installment of Scary Movie, which is also a spoof of The Exorcist, Poltergeist, Amityville Horror, and other films. The experiment, of course, reveals that the mansion is haunted by the spirits of its former occupants. The mansion also has a frightening butler with a misshapen, deformed hand who is constantly trying to get close to Cindy and her friends whenever he has the opportunity.

In the third installment of Scary Movie, we are introduced to an older Cindy who is now working a real job. In this film, which is mainly a parody of Signs, 8 Mile, and The Ring, Cindy competes against time to prevent a killer video tape from murdering people in the manner of the movie The Ring. In addition, she falls in love with Simon Rex, who plays a character who is a satire of Eminem in 8 Mile. There is also an alien invasion, much like in the movie Signs, and somehow everything is related.

Ultimately, the president of the United States and the whole Wu-Tang Clan, who make a cameo appearance at the conclusion of the film, help defeat the little zombie girl who murders people using the killer videotape as well as the aliens. In the fourth installment of the Scary Movie series, which parodies films like The Grudge, Saw, The Village, and War of The Worlds, Anna Faris made her final appearance.

This time, in addition to an alien invasion taking place, with a race of aliens driving "Tri-Pod" vehicles invading Earth, we also see an even older Cindy who discovers that the house she lives in is haunted by a little boy. The Scary Movie franchise was a genuinely amusing jumble, and it was incredibly amusing for its time. Additionally. It gave rise to the parody film genre, which is largely based on mimicking current trends and fads while layering on a layer of toilet humor.

The majority of parody movies today, whether they are the Scary Movies or other parodies, are either really old or just cringeworthy. There are a few outstanding moments that still stand out, but the majority of it is garbage. Fortunately, Anna Faris' acting career wasn't overly influenced by Scary Movies, since she later starred in other films and TV series that weren't in the parody genre. However, outside of the Scary Movies, what did Anna do? Read on to discover out.

Throughout her career, Anna has starred in a few other memorable comedies. With parts in movies like The Hot Chick (2002), Just Friends (2005), and Smiley Face (2007), Anna continued to amuse audiences throughout the 2000s, demonstrating that she didn't need to be the star of a pop culture reference-covered parody comedy to be amusing. In the aforementioned films, her skill at portraying a variety of humorous personas is evident, but everyone still referred to her as the girl from the Scary Movies, regardless of the genre of film she starred in. In spite of this, Faris entered the comedy industry and established himself as one of the few notable female performers of the 2000s who could pull off humor without being awkward. She has perfect comedic timing and knows just how far she needs to go to be genuinely funny without crossing into cringe territory, which is something that far too many female comedians and actresses do. With that in mind, let's take a look at some of her most famous film performances.

Faris' first significant, non-scary film was The Hot Chick (2002).
In this 2002 comedy film, directed and produced by an American filmmaker by the name of Tom Brady (yes, the Tom Brady has the same name), the character of Jessica, played by Anna Faris, is a well-liked, cruel high school cheerleader who somehow manages to unintentionally exchange bodies with a street criminal named Clive—played by none other than Rob Schneider, in a truly excellent decision—via a pair of enigmatic earrings with magical abilities. And as you can see, Faris's role as Jessica goes through a lot of hardship in order to reclaim her body, during which she learns a lot of valuable lessons and whatnot.
Since this is an early 2000s comedy film, the acting isn't anything special, but I recall seeing it when I was a youngster and finding it to be somewhat humorous at the time. And yeah, it's probably safe to assume that after waking up in his new hot female high school cheerleader body, Rob Schneider's character Clive gave it a thorough once-over; of course, the movie doesn't show this, but in that reality, you can be sure that it certainly occurred.

The 2005 comedy "Just Friends" also featured a significant role for Faris.
In this film, Ryan Reynolds portrays Chris, a successful and appealing LA record label boss, who returns to his hometown for the holidays. In contrast, Samantha, Anna Faris's role, is a well-known pop star with an eccentric and exaggerated demeanor who, for whatever reason, accompanies Chris on his voyage to his hometown. Chris reunites with Jamie, his former high school crush, and resolves to get together with her, but Samantha, Anna Faris' character, who is madly in love with Chris, interrupts him at almost every opportunity. She is determined to win over Ryan Reynolds' role Chris and dissuade him at all costs from pursuing his previous high school infatuation, even though he is utterly unconcerned in her. With her erratic demeanor and total absence of self-awareness, Anna Faris undeniably contributes a significant portion of the humor in that film. I actually do recall seeing that movie once while I was channel surfing, and I have to admit that Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris were both really hilarious in it.
In addition to playing a role in the sitcom "Mom," Anna Faris also served as its producer.
Farise made the decision in 2013 that it was time for him to assume control of production, and he teamed up with several other co-executive producers to create the sitcom "Mom," which had a respectable run from 2013 to 2021, by television standards. In that program, Faris played Christy Plunkett, the protagonist, a single mother and former alcoholic who tries to maintain a steady existence for her two children while battling the difficulties of sobriety. However, this program focuses on mothers rather than children, which is why it also features Christy Plunkett's mother, Bonnie Plunkett, who is portrayed by Allison Janney.
Similar to her daughter, Bonnie Plunkett is also a recovering addict, and the two have a tumultuous but affectionate relationship that grows throughout the series. The program itself takes a humorous approach to the difficulties of addiction and uses a narrative style that focuses on amusing humor and touching but uplifting moments, which is a novel approach for a contemporary television program.

Since 2011, Faris has hosted a podcast.
Faris had her own podcast named "Unqualified" long before everyone began watching the Joe Rogan Podcast since he forced Elon Musk to smoke a little weed. The majority of the themes covered in her podcast are about relationship advice, and it's basically a 45-minute to hour-long chat between her and her visitors. Naturally, Faris also interviews her famous guests on her podcast, focusing primarily on their love lives. Chris Pratt, who, incidentally, was married to Faris for ten years, is one of the more well-known visitors she's hosted on the program. Others include Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johannson, Aubrey Plaza, Topher Grace, Olivia Munn, and Chris Pratt.
She also has a child with Chris Pratt.
Did you know that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were married between 2007 and 2017? Pratt is probably paying a hefty sum in alimony for the child since he landed some rather prominent film roles after Parks and Recreation ended. Given that they were among the nicest and most real Hollywood pairs, it's a bit unfortunate that Anna and Chris are divorced.
Once Pratt began earning all that money from Marvel for his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, I think he let the celebrity get to his head. Now that he's also the voice of Super Mario, he's doing well. However, Faris is not nearly as well-liked as he is. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but there seems to be some infidelity here; in any case, their kid Jack is currently around eleven years old, thus Pratt still has seven years of alimony to pay.
