Bear in the Night Games' Lust Academy is perhaps one of the most acclaimed adult games available today. Most adult video games are created by a solitary oddball who has a few stray fans and are later offered for free. Honestly, it sounds rather like many other porn games available. But because it's clearly unlike the other trashy and useless Flash games available, I made the decision to download the game and play it. It was a test drive for me.

Is It Simply For Fun or Are You Going To Pay?
Bear in the Night, like many other porn game companies, doesn't even use a memorable, unique domain name to run its business, as it might if it were selling high-end lesbian videos. Or maybe a collection of porn reviews written by a red-headed, big-cocked, big-headed mascot. Even in the first few seconds, it's evident that this is not your average, mediocre CG visual novel. The visuals are stunning and completely wank-worthy. Damn, the visuals are really hot! The animations they have are slick and seductive, but I wish they had used more comprehensive animation rather than the typical still images that have been panned and zoomed. The truly disgusting things are what I'm looking forward to seeing.

I was prepared to turn on that terrible thing as soon as the download was complete. I clicked the Lust Academy logo after opening the file, and I was off! The animated Bear in the Night logo appeared on the screen a few seconds later, along with a warning that this game is filled with adults engaging in violence, sex, vulgar humor, smoking, and swearing. It sounds like the type of game I enjoy!
You'll feel right at home from the beginning of the game if you've ever played a visual novel with Ren'Py. You'll feel immediately at ease if you haven't. It doesn't require a lot of learning.

The first thing that Lust Academy does when you click New Game is ask you if you want to play the game as a visual novel or in sandbox mode. I was going to compare the two, but since I think you're a gamer, you probably already know. Although most games place you between the two categories, it's uncommon to have such a genuine option. The two playstyles may be so dissimilar that I find myself playing the game over and over, and I'm interested in learning more about the differences. The high replay value of Lust Academy, which is probably one of the reasons it is so popular, is enhanced by sandbox mode.

I selected the Visual Novel option because it was my first try. I received another warning about the addition of ambient sounds, some of which were of a sexual kind, before the game even began. The warning is hilarious since it suggests that many of you deviants will be playing this at home or at work. Your child is in the room next to you. Although we hope this didn't cause you any difficulty, the message reads, but what? It's a fun, attractive game if I get booted from Starbucks again!

The game concludes by asking whether you want to turn on or off LGBTQ+ material. I activated it just to see what was up, even if I'm more interested in seeing girls hump each other and less interested in seeing guys buttfucking. The story began on my CG stand-in a few seconds later, and I entered my name, giving everyone the background.

As with any visual novel, there's a lot of click-through dialogue. Even though I dislike it when that stuff goes on and on without any fun elements, I found out about my character and started Lust Academy in less than a minute. The room is filled with excitement as a hot stepmother enters. She's a total jerk, but man, she's beautiful.

I went right away to my stepsister's room after my stepmother gave me a hard time. As I stared at Sissy extending in her underwear, she didn't see me, but it's a little tease since the game kicks me out a few seconds later. Prior to banging the step-sibling, there are other things to accomplish, such speaking with the old man downstairs. Even if he's a damn jerk, at least everyone in this game speaks understandable English, whether they're hot or not. You know why I have to bring this up if you read visual novels often. Although it's not uncommon for characters to use fractured pidgin English, I wish it didn't make me this thrilled.

I ran into my other stepsister in the kitchen after the old man gave me a verbal reprimand. We chat for a bit over tea that she serves me with her cleavage showing, and then I leave. I get my invitation to the fictitious Lust Academy, which is actually called Cordale Academy, when I check the mail then.

I immediately understood why Patreon. com/bearinthenight has so many Patrons. The entire piece feels realistic thanks to the superb writing, the amazing 3D renderings, and the wealth of information. Immersion is a huge deal because I will play the game much longer if I am able to lose myself in it.
